Ogilvy Singapore moves to 71 Robinson Road

Ogilvy & Mather Singapore, one of the world’s largest marketing communications agencies, has relocated to its new premises at 71 Robinson Road, where it will take up the building’s sixth, seventh and eighth floors.

The relocation is driven by Ogilvy Singapore’s strong growth over the past five years. Since 2005, the agency’s staff strength has increased, from 240 to 600. In line with Singapore’s focus on becoming a global hub for investment and businesses, the organic expansion is due partly to the agency’s aim to drive a mix of local and multinational businesses in the city-state.

Ogilvy Singapore’s new location is built on the three pillars the agency embodies — a heightened emphasis on interaction, the desire to maintain work-life harmony and creativity at the heart of its business.

“Post-recession, 2010 was the tipping point for us in terms of our development as a global hub,” said Stephen Mangham, Group Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore. “At the same time, we boosted our talent base with strategic hires and arrived at the happy problem of having to move to accommodate our growth.”

The new premises comprise a 300-seat amphitheatre called the Arena, which can be configured for groups ranging from a small, intimate screening session to a large townhall meeting for the agency, while ensuring sound isolation and privacy.

“71 Robinson Road provides a highly flexible floor plate to office occupiers, allowing for both traditional and creative use of the space as evidenced by Ogilvy & Mather’s new office layout. 71 Robinson Road is now 70 percent leased and we expect that leasing demand will continue in the coming months, given the attractiveness of the design and technical specifications of the building,” noted Chris Archibold, Head of Markets at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).
